Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:30 in the Village Hall
Jefferson Village Council consists of six members, each elected to a four year term. Each member is assigned by the Mayor to one of 6 committees that meet on an ad-hoc basis to work on specifc policy issues.

Nick Belden
Nick Belden works for the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy/Inmate Services. He’s been with the Sheriff’s Office for about 20 years. He had previously served in an elected position in Trumbull County, as a trustee for Farmington Township for a four-year term, serving as president of the board for the last year/year and a half.
Belden has lived in Jefferson since 2010.

Pat Bradek
Pat Bradek has lived in the Jefferson area since 1974. She has owned several small businesses in Jefferson, including Subway, for many years. Pat has actively served the Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce, Henderson Library Board, and Support Our Community Center among others. She hopes her leadership skills and business knowledge will be a positive addition to the Village Council.

Lon Damon
Lon Damon has previously served 17 years as a member of the village council and served on many committees. Damon is a sports marketing specialist at Lincoln Electric, where he has worked for over 30 years. He also teaches welding at Lakeland Community College.

Steve Febel
Steve Febel graduated from Jefferson Area High School, attended Northwestern Tech Auto-Diesel, the Ashtabula County Police Academy and joined the JPD in 1979. Febel was the Jefferson police chief for 23 years before retiring.

Karen Roderick
Karen Roderick has been employed by Ashtabula County for several years, currently serving in the Auditors office. Following her tenure with the Village of Jefferson at the Community Center, she opted to run for Village Council, recognizing her potential to drive positive change and foster continued growth within the community. Karen holds various leadership roles, including Co-Chair of the Jefferson Union Cemetery, Chair of the Parks and Rec Dept, and Co-Chair of the Wastewater Treatment dept. She is also the founder of a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women to succeed in business and contribute to the community. Karen resides in the Village with her husband, Josh, and their two daughters, Emma and Ella.

Jennifer Skinner
Skinner grew up in Jefferson and graduated from Jefferson Area High School. She works for Ashtabula County Commissioners and has worked for Wall Street Coffee Company, Brant’s Apple Orchard, the Jefferson Community Recreation Center, Rite Aid and has served as a poll worker for 10 years.
